The Dreams Of Mallam Julius Poem by Julius Saidu

The Dreams Of Mallam Julius

I dream of times when my name lingers in the tongues of men, staying long like the sky in its empty space
I dream of times when I be called among the great of history, staying and living old with time in its endless journey
I dream of a world where its people clap echoes of peace and dances in the fields of unity. Smiling to truth of oneness; embracing the fear of the creator
I dream of a society that boast of men of mildness', product of greatness, yields of waken love
I dream of an Africa, where little one's don't have to die because their parents are poor. Playing in African evenings, sharing the early rains laughter
I tell you my dreams
Fruits de'r future
Of my life a legend
Bearing green flag of heroes
Having my name in rocks
Standing citizen of heaven
Live de dreams of Mallam Julius
