NEW YEAR, NEW LEAF, OR JUST FANING THE PAGES OF THE OLD BOOK?





She was tight,

Depressed, drinking,

Far gone,

Still empty,

Seeking solace,

Hiding within bottle,

Out of money,

Night still young,

Drink she needed,

Drink was offered,

She glanced his way,

Benefactor wantabe,

Judgment clouded,

She straighten up,

Tried smiling sexy,

Took the drink,

Downed it quick,

Looked his way,

Another perhaps…
