The Eagle Soars Poem by Cleo A. Fletcher

The Eagle Soars

Rating: 4.3

As the eagle soars I look around the thirsty land.
This is my home I belong here. The Powerful Spirit has blessed
me with life in this beautiful world with beautiful people.

As I look at the sky one last time, I fall to my knees.
My head falls back and my swollen mouth faces towards the sky.

I lay there days, weeks, months, years...
I 'm not alone, nor am I afraid because I know I can feel His presence
with me. As I feel my spirit leaving my body, I feel a dropp splatter on
my face. I slowly open my eyes and look around to see flowers
blooming and the Powerful Spirit's tears falling on my face.
Joyous that I have followed.

The eagle soars far above the trees. This is my home. This is where
I belong.
