The Earth That Holds Us Poem by ashok jadhav

The Earth That Holds Us

I walked where hills kissed morning light,
And rivers hummed a quiet tune;
The air was sweet with grass and rain,
The sun rose slow, the sky in bloom.
The farmer bent to plough the soil,
His hands were calloused, yet at peace;
He spoke in deeds, not words alone,
And found in labor sweet release.
The shepherd led his flocks through mist,
The hills replied with echoing song;
Each step he took, each careful care,
Belonged to nature all along.
The trees would sway, the leaves would fall,
The wind would whisper through the glen;
And in those moments, soft and still,
Man touched the world and was touched again.
No walls, no streets, no fleeting fame
Could bind the soul or claim its worth;
For hearts that move with earth and sky
Are bound to life, and life to earth.
So walk the fields, the woods, the streams,
And learn the world by hand and eye;
For in the bond with nature held,
The heart grows full, the spirit high.
