The Edge Of The Light Poem by Chris van den Heever

The Edge Of The Light

It's still here
Waiting for the sound of you
Maybe a little smile
A picture in the Louvre

In the sky
There's clouds
Here it is still
And the wind caresses your hair

The pillows catch our laughter
Skin on skin a symphony
Of love
Beings joyous in harmony

The light is pushing
Darkness into the night
Fear into hope
Tomorrow is today

Step forwards
Grab the rope
And swing into the promise
That hope created in space

The Edge Of The Light
