The Egg - Poem by Jujutshu Kumar Deb

The egg shifts a little
Knowing that time has arrived
The rain has showered profusely,
Wanton devastation has swayed,
Desolation deepens in the glade
Knowing that something is missing
Quietly we stretch our eyes to search,
When will the egg break?
