The Election Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

The Election

Rating: 5.0

The voting was rigged
Right from the start
After polls had closed
Votes changed in the dark

There was talk of dumps
And bad voting machines
Amazing how political parties
can be so mean

The votes were not all counted
When Main Stream Media jumped in
They projected their winner
as if he had secured the win

This election's not over
There are still things to see
Will the Supreme Court do it's job
and satisfy a need?

Voter ID
would have helped a lot
The mail in ballots
were a wasted shot

No candidate should win
When there's a lot of cheating
America deserves more
Than to take an awful beating
