The Empty Plate Poem by valerie kidd

The Empty Plate

the empty plate
with nothing left
it pains my inner toil

no turkey here
no pumpkin pie
and no aluminum foil

no kids to feed
no doggie bags
there is no nothing left

we ate it all and now were glad
were going to play risk
