The End Poem by Bill Hallsworthy

The End

The faces of fellows that walk this path,
feel the fear of being half,
no longer whole, one must ask,
why did happiness end so suddenly?
why does life fly by behind me?
as if walking on unknown ground,
a solitary soldier crys aloud,
for happiness is only real when shared,
a lonely soul has not but one care,
time for change, time for healing,
this time things are really ending,
guess this end is a new beginning.
