The Eternal Internal Struggle Poem by Alyson Garland

The Eternal Internal Struggle

Rating: 5.0

bleeding painful memories,
from my veins runs reality.
do i dare to trust a soul,
with the secrets of my deepest torture.

my pain runs so softly from me,
with every cut the world becomes clearer.
society would categorise me,
but its not in the pursuit of a category.

Just Closure;
peace, tranquility, a change,
anything would be better than my
eternal internal torment.

this my inner struggle,
my life: a lie,
a false smile for the world,
while inside i silently die.

nothing hurts more than to
have to be a fake to the world
not even friends can tell that i am
slowly slipping away.

out of sight, out of mind.
never fear, no pain on the other side.
