The Evening Immemorial Poem by Liton Chakraborty Mithun

The Evening Immemorial

On the bed of grass,
We sat face to face.
My eyes kissed yours
And yours mine.
The evening was blissful
And gave floral greetings.
The hide and seek of light and black
kept us thrilled.
You offered me going to a place,
I was perplexed to agree.
You called me a 'timid fellow'
And I am a timid indeed!
We kept walking awhile
Exchanging our feelings.
You kept your hand on mine
And I was love-struck then.
And I was shuddered!
