The Ex-Factor....(Remembering Him!) Poem by Edwina Aleme

The Ex-Factor....(Remembering Him!)

Poetry, symphony
love is in the air...
out of my house, looking
listening to the birds sing
and flying with a carefree nature
of all that i hear in my ears,
cocks crowing, saying goodmorning
goats bleeting and eating grass
trees swaying from side to side....
I am loving this!
listening to symphonies,
i am taking a long walk like jill scott
getting my groove on and picking a bouquet
for me, myself and i,
stopped..... bought a cone of icecream,
found myself in a cul-de-sac.....uhun!
reaching my spot,
i saw this fine young man.......hmmm
six foot three to be precise
like a resevoir for moi....I mean
he is heavenly fine and
a hunky tonk shine!
enough to make a sister glitter, abs tight
he got his game right....
shy as can be, i said 'hello'
and he said 'hi'
You look kinda familiar, similar to the one
i know somewhere....
as we went on and on, i knew he was my second skin,
thought as firecrackers....
this is only an ephemeral,
he, an adonis, walking with splendour
i knew this was the ex-factor.....
my mind playing tricks on me
as i drank from his nile water,
engraved in my heart were these words of love
as it becomes the case of the ex..........
