The Exalted! Poem by Azhar Sayed

The Exalted!

There have been times when I saw a twinkle
In the eye that could hold an ocean of smiles;
and a heart so full and content
that it would reciprocate with love.

Bridging the gap of friendship
and wandering aimlessly amidst hordes;
Two lonely souls gasping for life
destined are the twain to meet.

To see in each others heart, the love
that was seldom unrequitted, often misquoted;
Doubting Brows punctuated their thought
and memories of the past still haunting their mind.

The Stage is set and the show begun
they have to play various parts;
Life is not merely the absence of death
but a part of an endless play.
