The Exchange Of Our Pain Poem by Damon Harper

The Exchange Of Our Pain

The final, final, final nail in the coffin was set in so deep
With the single strike against my face
Not the first but the last
We exchange pain in the moment,
Yours in your heart, and mine in my mind,
You regress back to a time and dredge up past pain
And draw from it, the mind you need to justify your actions
I'm left with the warm sting
And you left with a thousand tears falling from your eyes
Like a rain forest
Only growing a, dark hate and a feeling of extreme pain in your heart.
