The Face Of Evil Poem by Sara Militello

The Face Of Evil

The Face of Evil

For many evil has no meaning
it has no face,
no static form or dimension
that can be drawn as artists their creations.

The wise know it by the obstacles
strewn in the path of who love
and know what joy there is in living.
So, not by accident is evil the opposite
and anagram of live...

Nihilism is its game, benign is its mask.
Evil plays all sides very well:
And just so you know...
when Evil addresses you,
whenever you try to be the you
you came here to be

or find yourself trying to share
your being with the sky and your choice
of other souls who resonate with you,
who ever would say to you,
"you have no right to be who you are."
Know by this clue, evil is addressing you.
