The First Poem by Estefano Molina

The First

She wrapped her arms around me
pulled me closer to her warmth
as dark as that room was
she was still bright
I observed her blonde hair
soft and silky
she never had it down
always in a pony tail
she wasn't the girly girl type
she was herself
and had nothing to prove to anyone
she was free
that's what I admired about her
she wasn't afraid
she was yellow

Her arms held me tightly and I held her
Oh she was such a tease
she bit her lips
soft hands underneath my shirt
caressed my back
breathing heavily
only inches away from each other
it was magic
always with that smirk as she pulled away
biting her bottom lip
ever so sensual
she knew she had me
and she never spoke after
it was peaceful silence
I would study her without a sound
she wasn't here long
but I cherished every moment of it
and in that silence
in that dark room
with or without her
I found peace
