The First Rain
You took me by surprise,
You made me start and rise,
When the day was yet bright
Your drizzle came on light,
A distant sound of thunder,
Hither, I am at wonder,
Wow! Nature had its way
To come to me and say,
That I had to keep my promise
And I should never miss
The first rain after several months.
