Before the songs,
Before the miles,
Before the nights beneath strange skies,
There was a boy standing at the edge of a hill,
Watching the road disappear into the mountains.
The wind spoke first.
The trees answered.
The creek carried secrets older than names.
He listened.
The world said be quiet.
The road said walk.
The world said forget.
The mountains said remember.
So he carried a notebook,
A dream,
And questions nobody could answer.
He walked through rain.
He walked through dust.
He walked through days that felt too long
And nights that felt too dark.
Still the road remained.
Still the horizon called.
And somewhere beyond the next hill,
Beyond the next turn,
Beyond fear,
Beyond doubt,
A voice whispered:
'Keep going.'
So he did.
And the journey began.
