The Forbidden Door Poem by melody hallenbeck

The Forbidden Door

Rating: 5.0

I open the black forbidden door to my soul,
Inside I see black wit a pinch of light from burning coal.
My heart is white as a fresh sheet of snow,
My insides are overflowing with hate, pain, and sorrow.
Never will I hurt myself or any one around me,
But I also won't let my pain and hurt drown me.
I am not a sad person genuinely but everyone gets upset sometime even me,
I can't go on knowing what I do now.
But I must go on if i want to know how.
So I close and lock the forbidden door to my soul,
Hope and pray never to go back into the deep dark hole.
No more pain, hate, or sorrow.
But when i awake again tomorrow i put on a show a smiling show as if i have nothing to be in pain about.
