The Four Greatest Words Poem by Doug Gunderson

The Four Greatest Words

Even better than “I love you”
And “you are welcome here”
Are the four greatest words
When spoken so sincere
They mean both care and action
And co-operation too
And they lift the spirits
Of whom they are spoken to.
Done without deception
They can mean so much
When spoke at the right moment
They are the perfect touch.
You probably have said them
And didn’t even realize
That the four greatest words
Open up people’s eyes.
A tender little gesture
Towards another living soul
The four great words of caring
Should be everybody’s goal.
You have probably guessed them
I do not need to yelp
The four greatest words together
They are: “How Can I Help? ”
