God won't give you more than you can handle
I recall the saying in a frame on the mantle
This saying has boiled my blood for so long
It made me believe in a world so wrong
I never had a chance to believe in a Heaven or Hell
Never the chance at a fairy tale
A childhood ripped away
In a way that painful to explain
The ones that have felt the unwanted touch on there skin
The ones left screaming where had God been
From the shaking breath
And the clothes torn from our chest
Those are the ones that know where my mind has been...
We're called crazy when we stop in are tracks
The slightest whisper can take us back
Where the moments seem like the darkest hours
We were the good ones
We played by the rules
But we knew no meant no
Why didn't you
But yet god won't give you more than you can handle
That's the saying that sat in the frame on the mantle
