The French Lily Poem by Linus Soderstrom

The French Lily

How good it feels to be not alone, to have a shoulder to rely upon

No more howling in the lonely night, deprived of warmth, filled with spite

A smile awaits and a pair of eyes, what a relief, the heart sighs

Out of the blue she came for me, and I was lucky I can see

Now she lay fast asleep, I am awake, her heart beats

Silence sings to the morning sun, a bright new day has begun

Eventually, she wakes and turns around; she truly came from sky to ground
