The Furies And The Fears Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Furies And The Fears

the weight of guilt
is horrible
i thought i could not
carry it
until you winked at
me for the
promised silence.

while at the islands
the waves are hinting fears
i look to the horizon
thinking of you back home

will there be stories to
tell and what will i be in
there?
i want to rewrite what happened
the possibility had become
so nil

so here i am and there you are
becoming strangers again
content without anything to say
in order to survive.
