The Future Poem by Tony Robinson

The Future

In a world without love, where would we be?
Just empty bodies that know how to bleed
The future of life that begins with a seed
Is tarnished by our faults, erased by our greed
The years to come will get worse I’m sure
No matter how we try we’ll never quench our thirst
Like the expanding deserts we will all be left dry
And when that fateful day comes
It will be too late to cry
We’ve got to take care of what we’ve got
Cause if we don’t, we won’t have it long
And the only good times we will know
Will be those long gone.
