The Game Of Love! ! ! - Poem by LULU MERO
He was an interesting creature...
With the audacity like a preacher..
As he talked, Ooh my! ! Voluble..
Sounded like my French teacher
Vim & vigor, carrying out….
Carrying his distinctive feature
You stayed within..
You knew he was the one...
That mama warned you about.
And though you hadn't none,
He took you out..
And left sweet memories lingering
Then, one day he left you figuring
Trying to understand the end
His hand he did not lend
So you tried to let go
And it hurt like hell! !
An affable and courteous gentleman
The one who wore the skin of a lamb
With sweet words he pretends
Your heart and body you hand
Hand into this despicable boogieman.
Stop crying my dear..
I can see why you tear
Tear from what is clear
That man gave ur heart a spear
Your love to him was sincere..
But he left u alone with smear
Ooo my i feel your pain even here
It is that Game of love
The game we both hear! !
Indeed, It is a Game of Love...
Made me feel like a heart i didn't have.
The King of Hearts he tries to be
By going around collecting hearts in a jar.
If there was a way to undo the pain
Other than drinking at the bar
Then my tears would be in vain.
Come along my dear
Go on, Tell.. if you fear.
Poet's Notes about The Poem
But stay tune for Part 2, because it is a game for both sides.
