The Ghost.....(A Ghostly Write Of A Song) Poem by Bill Simmons

The Ghost.....(A Ghostly Write Of A Song)

Rating: 5.0

I went to bed after a long hard day
I thought I’d try to get some sleep
My pajamas on I turned out the light
I was in the middle of counting sheep

I heard a scratching on my window pane
I got up but nothing could see
Then I heard a chain rattle across my floor
I thought my ears were playing tricks on me’

I jumped back into bed and I covered my head
Then I got to thinking what the heck
And I found it’s so you can curl your toes
When something’s breathing down your neck

Well I don’t know but I’ve been told
I never really ever believed in ghost
But let me tell you what I saw
Of ghost, the most beautiful of them all

She went Boo…Hoo…I am haunting you
And floated about my room, long hair flowing everywhere
She went Boo…Hoo…I am haunting you
I wish when was alive, I met someone like you

She touched my face, I saw her cry
I checked my pulse, I thought I’d died
The next morning she was gone
But her ghostly memory keeps living on…

She went Boo…Hoo…I am haunting you
And floated about my room, long hair flowing everywhere
She went Boo…Hoo…I am haunting you
I wish when was alive, I met someone like you

She went Boo…Hoo…
I am haunting you…
The next morning she was gone…
But her haunting memory keeps living on.
