The Girl Of His Past Poem by Kelsey Decker

The Girl Of His Past

He gazed to the night sky
One thing on his mind
A girl he once knew
One he alone cared for

The way she smiled
Lit up his life
Her beautiful Green eyes
That glowed in the moonlight
Like stars in the night sky

His heart raced
Every time she was near
His like grew to love
His heart fell spellbound
When he looked her in the eyes

The way it felt that day
When goodbye was hard to say
Tears that were in her eyes
Made his heart ache

The pain, the ache
His heart felt, that day
When he had to say goodbye
His Love could not go unanswered

The way it felt
When his lips touched hers
A confession with no words
A love so strong
He didn't want to say goodbye

His heart belonged to her alone
His first kiss, His first love
Was the girl, who remained by his side
All his life, the one who lit up his world

The ache he felt as he went away
To the place so far away
From his one true love
The girl of his past.
