The Girl With The Tangled Hair Poem by Victoria Hughes

The Girl With The Tangled Hair

Rating: 4.2

This is for the girl with the tangled hair
She waits each night for him to call,
She misses his kisses, his love and caresses
and waits for him patiently by the door.

All she wants is to hold his hand
To walk with him in the rain,
To kiss him gently and wear his band
And never let him go again.

She didn't realise in saying good night
That it would truly be,
She didn't want to let him go
She swore she would never leave.

But in the end he crept away
Not even a goodbye,
Slunk down the stairs and out of the door
And into the moonlit night.

This is for the girl with the tangled hair
Who cries herself to sleep,
Each night she prays that he'll come home
So that she will no longer need to weep.
