The Gladiator Poem by kendall thomas

The Gladiator

Rating: 5.0

Empty cup,
an empty sky,
blood across the golden thigh.
I think the world insane.
I will refrain.

I will not act
nor take a stand
but cast down my sword
in the blood-drenched sand,
bow no more to indifferent gods
of thousand-headed man.
