The Golden Horse - Galloping Free Poem by Andrew W.K. Yip

The Golden Horse - Galloping Free

Galloping, galloping, sometimes trotting,
Clouds of sand began to appear.
With its fair mane flashing and floating,
The Golden Horse is here.

Galloping with hoofs stamping heavily on the ground,
The strong steed, arching and curving, makes a thunderous sound.
Wielding power in the wind, this strong steed of pride,
Free to strive for peace and progress world-wide.

Trotting in the dark, galloping in the sun.
The Golden Horse bursts through the battle front.
Aloof and proud, it murmurs or roars, both to sinners and saints,
But weaves visions or dreams into reality again and again.

Is the galloping golden horse a vision or dream,
Or a galloping force with heavenly power supreme?
Galloping free through all lands in peace under its thrall,
Galloping, galloping - the stately steed brings success to all.
