The Grain Poem by kennedy musyoka

The Grain

like a grain of wheat my life
had turned out to be,
unsifted in the wind scattered
with every gust and every
breeze,
swayin back and forth
destination with no heed,
unknown is its landing on the
basket or flows afar by the
wind,
unsifted and so light is what
my heart had come to be,
cold like an icecube nothing
could make it beat,
the wind be the trials always
throwing it out of its heed,
the basket is its direction but
got scatterd far into the hills,
now i feel a different
sensation is like iv wetted the
grains of wheat,
weight it has gotten from
the soaked up water it has
taken in,
now its not gonna sway or
scatter so afar,
it goes down to the basket for
now it will find its purpose
thank you love for makin my
grain gain weight,
for this time i had been longing
and was getting weary of the
wait,
i love you to death this feeling
to me will never end,
this grain will never sway come
wind come rain
