The Greater Lines Of Others Poem by Shalom Freedman

The Greater Lines Of Others

THE GREATER LINES OF OTHERS

The greater lines of others
Shadow my own.
I hear them within myself
Making mockery of the lines
I now write down.
The great poets own poetry
And we with the little words
And the big dreams
Might be wiser
To let only our silence
Speak for us.
