The Hardest Choice Poem by Bernard Thorpe

The Hardest Choice

The hardest choice I've ever had to make, was facing my own reality
The biggest mistake was hiding from it for so long
I'm sorry that I used you to escape, I just wanted to belong
Just know this...I've loved you all along

From humble beginnings in your background
Joking, dancing, singing
To directionless confusion in your house
fighting, screamin, crying
Just know this I've loved you all along
