The Health Nut Poem by Burt Poole

The Health Nut

Up each day at ten-to-five;
two mile jog to stay alive,
Nature food his only diet;
book on health—he’s sure to buy it!
Shots to save from coughs and sneezes;
runs from heat, fears all breezes.
Double-washes spoons and dishes;
crowds avoided—same with kisses.
Missing all the things that kill,
he choked to death on a vitamin pill.
So, if you live just to keep from dying,
remember the one who died while trying.
