The Heart Ache Poem by Tommy Augustin

The Heart Ache

It’s not what we expected,
One tear from this eye,
Made me realize many things.
One thrown on this face,
Made everyone realize something is wrong.
It was like the world came to an end,
It was love at first,
But turned into the love we never hope for.
Was it me?
What did I do wrong?
What can I do to take it all back?
These questions are the ones unanswered.
It’s being a whole month and a few days,
But yet still there is still love.
She is lost in someone else arms,
But it’s me to blame.
Every look I took into her eyes,
I can’t help but cry.
She won’t realize it unless I show it.
It was going just as we plan,
But I didn't think but act,
She got hurt,
I got hurt,
What have I done?
It’s unfix-able.
I can see her smile in my mind,
I can feel her when she isn't here,
I can smell her perfume scent.
She isn't gone,
But she is gone.
Right now happiness is what I seek,
But it’s difficult to gain.
Sadness is what am gaining
But it’s not what I seek.
What happens from here?
This question still remains unanswered.
My heart is full,
But someday, one day,
Someone might bring it to an ease.
Maybe it’s her,
Maybe it’s me,
Maybe it’s someone else out there.
It’s nothing but LIFE,
Hope is something good it have in stock for me,
Cause life is full of surprises.
