The Hero Poem by Alston Meyer

The Hero

There was a strange man from Kentucket,
he had to shower with a bucket.
Perfect for flowers, they showered.
Fixed his dying blossoms surely.
Without knowing he became the hero of Kentucket.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This limerick speaks about peoples struggle to maintain the waste and the lengths people go to when it is too late. People should have taken care ahead of the time so that we do not get into these struggles. By default if someone comes up with something by accident to help the situation they seem to be held as great but it is funny because it should not have happened in the first place.
