The Holder At Bay Of Your World In Grey Poem by Martin Byrne

The Holder At Bay Of Your World In Grey

The world shall be vibrant and embrace.
The water will nurture and teach.
The sky will wizen and stretch.
The fire will warm and comfort.
The sun shall hold at bay, your world in gray
So long as you stay and don’t go far away.
But beware the lure of a brand new sun.
The new setting sun provides a world undone
Over those valley ridges and hills
Lies the world in gray
Where there is no day
Only the despair of gray
