The Home Straight Poem by Dawn Owens

The Home Straight

Rating: 5.0

Flat pastures lush and evergreen
Paint a picture so serene
The Waihoihoi river abounds
With beautiful parks all around
White sandy beaches stretch for miles
This lightens the heart and makes you smile
For a decade I have roamed
To find this place I now call home
Waipu has sealed my fate
No more to roam far from her gate
