The Honored Confidentiality Among Love's Players...

the greatest happiness
in love,
or even in lust,
is this respect
for confidentiality.

a heart full of love,
or lust, as the case may be,
has no time
to speak

lest it be dubbed as
unethical, a kiss and tell,
and too unbecoming,

what happens in bed,
shall remain in bed.

let the linens bury
all the ecstasies.

let the floor shine on
its own
and not the talks and
then the rumors.

let all windows look
to the world,
let not any word be
spoken to the skies.
