For the mask beneath my emotional facade,
Hiding the blankness of my gleam,
Digging a deeper pit for walls,
My walls that keeps everything out,
As a mask kept me hidden within fabricated faces,
Even as Expressions sanctify allowing me to appear normal.
For the facial expressions,
I had no purpose for my actions, words, and feelings,
No consciousness for my actions,
I felt nothing,
No truth of my speech,
I did nothing,
With some worth for my feelings,
I had a cracks,
My mask cracked.
For the cracked mask,
I used to believe I couldn't breathe properly,
Yet I'm breathing now,
I believe that everyone saw past my mask,
This shattered mask that kept my walls safe,
Walls that crumbled into arms filled with warmth,
My warmth that identified me as something,
Something is normal.
I feel normal,
That's not necessarily something I once felt.
