The Human Race Poem by Lisa Knipe

The Human Race

Rating: 5.0

What's going on with the world lately? People are killing each other to stay alive or cause they don't like the other persons' point of view or colour.

Is there a moment in time in the human race, when we all stood up for each other?

Older people are blaming the younger generation for everything thats going wrong, and what does it resolve? Nothing exactly, just more people dying or getting hurt.

When are we going to stand up for each other?

Look at the third world, they don't have a thing to their name. They're all dying because they don't have a thing to keep them going. No rain or money which means no food. No medicine which means no people getting better.

Now we have the coronavirus about, you think it would get people understanding and together? I know you had the killing of George Floyd, but this is has forever with people.

So when are we going stand up for each other? When are we going to carry on the human race? Or are we going to let it come to an end?
