An Old Year ends as New Year takes over
When clocks show twelve midnight around the world –
An event celebrated by mankind,
Although the change is just a tradition.
The old order must give in to the new;
The new too turns old with the fleeting time;
Each year comes to a grinding halt this way;
Thus goes the cycle of joys, woes and grief.
The mind of man has plans in head ahead;
The heart of man resolves to change for good;
But all the hype is gone as days roll by;
Man’s gaze is back with haze in earthly maze!
Each year is good and bad in many ways;
Man’s feats in fields reset records galore;
But crimes and sins creep into endeavors;
Science can’t give answers to man’s search for God.
Each year, man goes ‘high-tech’ in diverse fields;
Man’s show of intellect surprises men;
But Nature’s furies bring man to her feet;
Despite advances, God stays paramount!
Science gives the false feel man has Nature fixed;
He loves to rules the universe in ways;
His own efforts are grain-like in time’s sands,
And dwarfed by Maker’s quintessence, always.
Science gives the false feel man has Nature fixed;
He loves to rules the universe in ways;
His own efforts are grain-like in time’s sands,
And dwarfed by Maker’s quintessence, always.
God shakes the world and rules the universe;
Man comes to terms with Nature’s awesomeness;
Though feats of man seem incredible, still,
God’s mountain-peaks stay indiscernible.
