The Indomitable Poem by Debasis Chatterjee

The Indomitable

I saw throughout the life
the exploitation and deaths rife

I despaired of the pompous megalomaniac prattling
the hunger enveloping
the greed unending
the disparity ever widening…

I saw throughout the life…

But just when my tired eyes were in Death closing
I saw a bunch of Krishnachura
all over me showering
blood-red, vivacious, ravishing,
in my dying ears reassuringly murmuring
‘Fear not, go in Peace, O' Blissful Being,
we are here forever alive and refreshing
we will go on rekindling spirit within
the Man of Future awakening and guiding…'

My soul in Peace becalmed in serenity -
over greed and repression
amid power and wanton deprivation
that the Man would always triumph in Beauty…
