Bryan, My sentiments exactly. Sometimes I yearn for the days of my youth when life was carefree and the world was much less complicated. Bicycle rides in summer on roads with little traffic to my favourite spot on the Downs. Wandering around fields of wild flowers on a summer's day catching butterflies before heading home on my bike. Opening the front door at the end of the day and calling out mum, I'm home.
A very enticing poem, the inner child is how we laugh, have fun, learn about life through a child-like curiosity. Our inner child never had to die, but many people just forgot they had one, work and family duties got in the way. Thankfully mine is alive and well! Great poem reminding people that there's more to life than just existing! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
