The Juggernaut Poem by Vadakkumpurath Ramesan

The Juggernaut

Kailash!
The seat of Juggernaut!
The podium of whirlwind dance
Of Juggernaut and his love!
The cliffs and slippery snow
Being kissed by the hissing misty wind
Where the 'Manasovar'
Filled with rainbow clad Fishes
Kisses the long red legs
Of the swans that swam
With song slipping from red beaks!
The Kailash!
The graves of many pilgrims
Whose unrelenting desire
To climb the tomb of Kailash
Smashed in the cold-blood wind
That took the warm breath
Of the panting caravan
With no mercy, but a smile
Of the triumphant!
Kailash!
The ranges and peaks
Embrace and mate
In the smiling moon
That shines the snowy
But death-cold ranges and peaks
That shower only the mist
But no flowers on the unknown
Whose corpse conceived
In the womb of the ranges!
Kailash!
The peak of the world
Stopped the ringing steps
Of Prothima Bedi
Whose grave still unknown
But kailash keep her intact!
Kailash!
The abode of death-God
The courtyard of Judgment
That he sent every moment
To the laughing creation
Heralding the warrant of return!
Kailash!
Yet he enjoys
The smile of Buddha
Who stood like statues
On the ranges and peaks
Still look and smile at Kailash!
The Juggernaut!
