The King Of Darkness Poem by MONALI ROY

The King Of Darkness

Her mind was dark, dark like uncertainties,
Dark like unknown probabilities…
She possessed a King, in her mind….The King of Darkness!

Her mind was the kingdom of the King.
The king was old; the king was new at the same time.
He was beautiful

He could take her mind on a ride beyond the limit of time and space.
Sometime she felt like a little girl, sometime as aged as the Earth,
When her King stayed with her….
Though thousands limitations were there,
She loved her King in her own way.

She used to sing for him, but he was deaf.
She used to dance for him, but he was blind.
She used to feel for him, but he was heartless.
So, the King could not understand her love.

One day, she locked the King within high walls of her closed dark mind.
The King became captive.

She tore off her love into small, small pieces….
And spread over all the places where her mind used to take ride with the King.

Her tormented task worked well.
The places became green, happy, and full of life
With the touch of her love!

The King tried each and every path to escape,
But of no use
Till now
