Why wait for the rain
When crops are drying up
fields pounding up
By hovering dust that will grow in to a mountain
Why wait
Rain is not reliable sometimes
Wait for it and famish
Wait for it and poverty will never end
Wait for it and grow long nails
And it is only through your eyes
That maize will ripen.
Why wait
When the windmill is spinning
Pumping
life to the plants
quenching thirst of the sheep
Goatsand cattle
Why wait
When the windmill is spinning
Pumping
life to the plants
quenching thirst of the sheep
Goatsand cattle
Why wait
Unless you want to elongate
Further the cycle
of deficiency and dependency
Wake up
The land is fertile
Cultivate it to the core
And you shall bring home the bacon
Why then wait
When the land is fertile
