The Last Ems Call Poem by Champion Chris

The Last Ems Call

Pager went off, out the door I ran to blend
A life needed help, I had to go attend

I see the wreckage, and I see the people aware
Someone has died, who is that there?

That body on the stretcher, I think I know that guy
His body looks so mangled, but he's dead why?

I hear a voice, they're calling out to God
The police are there, all they do is nod

Wait, who is that there?
Is that my mom? But i'm nowhere

This is some weird dream, I'm in some bizarre bed
No way, That's not me dead? ! ?

I finally look down, my body is mangled
My neck is sore, by seat belt I was strangled

This can't be, why me?
I had so much going on, why can't you see?

What happened? I suddenly lost control.
I feel cold now, and horribly unwhole

How did I die? Did something go wrong?
But then my focus goes to the car, radio still playing a song

Now I understand, why I went haywire
Her song had played, memories afire

I couldn't take it, I cried while on the road
This wreck has finally ended, my demonic human mode
