The Last Thing Poem by Dylan Taylor

The Last Thing

Rating: 5.0

It was a bright night
The moonlight shimers in her hair
She's just standing there
Standing there
Like she was looking for something

Her husband was in the navy
He has been for years
He said he would come back
When is what she asked

She's cried her eyes out
She's cried herself to sleep
The last thing she saw
Was her husband coming in
