The Law Is Here And Now

We fail to do our Father’s will
Yet see no sign of ruin
But on the day we pay life’s bill
We’ll sing a different tune

For no excuse will God appease
Regardless how we try
However long upon our knees
We seek His face and cry

For “Righteous” is The Father’s name
Virtue’s in His hand
And on the day He judges shame
His righteousness will stand

To love our Father first and last
Love neighbours as we’re told
This law still stands as in the past
Yet few of us uphold

We lie, we cheat, we kill and rape
Adultery’s everywhere
So now from God there’s no escape
The punishment He’ll share

There’s no escape for anyone
No fortune can afford
Without the help of Christ His Son
We’ll feel God’s vengeful sword

For this our Saviour left His throne
For this He suffered pain
If God would now our sins condone?
Then Christ has died in vain

The law is here the law is now
The choice is ours to make
To Jesus Christ our knees must bow
Or face hell’s flaming lake
